Your files never leave your browser. Every tool on this site processes your documents locally on your device. We do not upload, store, transmit, or have any access to the files you work with.

How we can promise this

All PDF and image processing runs client-side using WebAssembly and JavaScript. There is no server-side file handling because the files are never sent to a server. The source code is public, so this claim is verifiable.

To confirm it yourself: open your browser's developer tools, switch to the Network tab, and run any tool. You will see that your file is never uploaded.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personally identifiable information. We never collect file names, file contents, hashes, or any user identifiers.

Advertising

quietpdf is free to use and ad-supported. We show display ads from Google AdSense alongside the tools and on the how-to articles. Ads never see your files — they run in a separate part of the page and have no access to the local PDF/image processing.

Google AdSense and its partners may set cookies in your browser to serve ads. If you'd rather see non-personalized ads, you can adjust your Google ad settings or use your browser's "Do Not Track" / privacy settings.

As we grow we plan to move from AdSense to a more privacy-respecting ad network. The goal is to keep the tools free without compromising the core promise: your files stay on your device.

What we never do
